About

I'm Tanishq Jain, an ML and systems engineer from Indore, India.
I studied Computer Science and Engineering at Bangalore Institute of Technology. In my final year I led a three-person team building a virtual dressing room. It was my first time wiring several deep-learning models into something a person could actually use. The same year, Google Summer of Code took me into PEcAn, an ecological-forecasting project, where 15 merged pull requests taught me what it takes to make research software installable by anyone.
At Bosch Global Software Technologies I spent a year and a half on the other end of the pipeline: CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes autoscaling and a custom Jenkins plugin. I learned that software is only as good as the way it's built, tested and shipped.
Then I went independent. As a freelancer I built MyCounselHub, a live counselling platform. And I kept asking a question that has shaped my work since: what happens to an ML system after the demo? My projects since have chased it — a forecaster that turned out to be overconfident, a retraining loop for when data drifts, and reinforcement-learning agents weighing floods against water supply.
I founded Jainav Infotech to ship software people can use: VYRO, a hardware monitor for Windows; Baby, a privacy-first voice assistant; and MenuMesh, QR ordering for restaurants.
Next, I'm applying for a Master's in AI and ML in Europe, to go deeper into the parts I find hardest: learning under uncertainty and distribution shift, and decisions with competing objectives.
How I build
I work AI-native. For my recent projects, I write a detailed spec, make the architecture and product decisions, review every phase, and test on real hardware. Claude Code writes much of the implementation.
I think that's what modern engineering looks like. The decisions, the trade-offs and the mistakes are still mine.
Experience
2026 – present
Founder
Jainav Infotech Private Limited, Indore
- Founded a product company to build and sell my own software — MenuMesh, VYRO and Baby — and to build custom software for businesses.
- Specified and shipped the company's platform: product pages, Razorpay checkout, GST invoicing and a licensing API, in English and Hindi.
Jun 2025 – Apr 2026
Freelance Full-Stack Developer
MyCounselHub (remote)
- Sole engineer on a WordPress counselling platform with the Amelia booking system, across three services (mental health, dietetics and Ayurveda). Owned everything from requirements to SEO and handover.
- Wrote custom scripts that turn a successful payment into a Google Meet link, calendar events for the client and the counsellor, an invoice, and a reminder 30 minutes before the session.
- Integrated Razorpay, built a discount-coupon system, a free self-assessment tool and a counsellor onboarding flow, and designed the MySQL database for clients, counsellors and leads.
Jul 2023 – Jan 2025
Associate Software Engineer
Bosch Global Software Technologies, Bangalore
- Architected and maintained CI/CD pipelines for testing, building and deployment, cutting deployment time by 60% and raising availability by 20%.
- Led the move to Docker and Kubernetes autoscaling, raising scalability by 30%, cutting manual intervention by 60%, and saving about 20 hours of operations work a week.
- Built a custom Jenkins plugin and Python and Shell automation, cutting build times by 40% and saving about 20 hours a week.
- Built a docs-as-code workflow (DocHub, Sphinx with Graphviz and PlantUML diagrams) with CI/CD publishing kept in sync with releases.
Jun – Sep 2022
Google Summer of Code Contributor
PEcAn Project (open source)
- Selected for Google Summer of Code 2022 to work on "PEcAn in CRAN". I merged 15 pull requests that refactored PEcAn's R packages toward CRAN compliance: replacing an orphaned dependency, clearing R CMD check warnings, and breaking circular dependencies between packages.
